Worried relatives of a Gasparillo teenager who has gone missing are appealing to anyone with information to contact them. The missing girl is Shelly-Ann Williams 17, of 36, Caratal Road, Gasparillo, a Form Four student at the Marabella North Secondary School.
Aunt of the missing teen, Jennifer Reid, said Shelly Ann left home on Monday at about 11pm after a quarrel and has not been seen since. Calls to her cellphone have gone unanswered, she said.
Reid said she reported the matter to the Gasparillo Police Station on Tuesday. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Gasparillo Police Station at 650-2193, or Mrs Reid at 322-2051.

This is a more troubling murder than the usual “badboy on badboy” murder. http://www.trinidadexpress.com/index.pl/article_news?id=161451316 Phagoo, a clerk at Plipdeco House, walked out of her home last week Thursday to take a taxi to Chaguanas to meet friends. They were going on a trip “Down the Islands”, her mother said. Investigators believe she was picked up and murdered the same day she left home. Her body was found wrapped in plastic bags near the Waterloo cremation site one day later. It was on Monday that Ramkissoon went to the Forensic Science Centre in St James and identified the body as her daughter’s. Phagoo was among several women who have gone missing in recent months. Many of them left home to take taxis to Chaguanas. Others were last seen getting into PH taxis. Police have mounted a campaign to crack down on PH drivers. They have information that criminals were pretending to be taxi drivers to prey on young women. Some were robbed and others were raped and dropped off in secluded areas. But recently many have simply vanished. Two of them-Riana Parag, 18, and Sally Lobai, 26-are among the missing, both after leaving home to travel to Chaguanas. It is possible that in the central part of Trinidad, there are several serial rapists and murderers operating. Their modus operandi appears to be picking up young ladies in PH cars and doing whatever they want to do. Now every crime contains three elements: Motive, Means, and Opportunity. The Motive in these cases stems from the fact that there are just plain evil people. The Means are the possession of cars. The Opportunity comes from the fact that in T&T we have a terrible public transportation system. Can a Rapid Rail system, with regular bus service acting as feeder lines to the rapid rail stations, eliminate the opportunities for these types of crimes?
